GoogleOne of the questions, I get often is ... how can I get on Google Page 1? Although the answer is beyond the scope of this article, what I want to share is how you can embellish your website yourself to ensure that Google finds your website worthwhile.

The easiest way to make your website shine is content. I have said it before, like realtors say Location, Location, Location. My mantra is Content, Content, Content! Although Content alone doesn't make your website numero uno on Google, it has a good say in it! With two major upgrades to Google's mysterious algorithm, Google has become more focused on user-experience than ever before! This means, if Google thinks your website will educate and make the site visitor's experience fun, then yes, they will count that towards your ranking on search engines.

Having said that, what is the best way to add content on your website -

1. More verbiage - You can add content in the form of articles, pages and/or blog posts. These are easy. Your website developer can ensure that your website is equipped with a blog feature. Once you do so, you can post blogs every day, every week or every month. The idea is consistency. I strongly recommend disabling your blog if you are going to blog today and then again in six months time. If you are unsure of how consistently you will blog, start monthly and then if you believe the posts are far and few in between, make them biweekly!

All new social media addicts sooner or later realize that social media takes time. In order to farm leads online, you need to plant the seeds on a regular basis and above all do so on all fronts.

Having said that, programs like Hootsuite and MarketmeSuite have allowed social media junkies to schedule their tweets and/or posts. This would mean that you would essentially post all interesting articles a week at a time or a few days at a time. Facebook has recognized that this is an accepted practice and has incorporated this feature into its interface.

So how does that work...

1. Posting articles and scheduling articles:

Post status update as you usually would. Then before you hit the 'Post' button, click on the timer button as highlighted above. This will allow you to pick the date and time that you wish to make the post live. Then on the selected day and time, voila, your post is live!
